These guides take a significant amount of time and effort to make, and anything that can be given is extremely appreciated.

Item World explanation

The Item World in Disgaea 6 is a randomly generated dungeon, where you go into an item of your choice to power it up.

In general, the more enemies that you kill inside of the item world, the more powerful it gets.

You can also access secret areas inside of your items, such as secret shops to buy rare equipment, and even pass dark assembly bills in your item to grand it better properties such as more movement, more jumping, etc.

You do need to be careful because enemies in the item are real and can kill you if you’re not careful and can lead to a game over. The more powerful the item was to begin with, or the deeper in you go, the stronger the enemies will be, so you need to be prepared.

There are treasure chests where you can get even more items and the enemies themselves may have useful items you can steal. For instance, if you go into floor 100 and every 100 floors afterwards you can steal a higher rank item from the “Item God 2” (a boss), but you’ll need a high-leveled thief with a very powered-up stealing skill, and you’ll want a unit to be able to clear floors quickly.

Instead of using “hand” items to steal like in older Disgaea games, stealing is now a skill your thief uses, which consumes SP so you’ll need to grind stats for a thief. You need to power up this skill which consumes more SP in order to improve your stealing success chance, and in Disgaea 6 it’s a bit tougher to steal items compared to older titles.

You don’t actually need to do the Item World until postgame or so aside from the mandatory tutorial. It’s generally recommended to just grind levels and beat the main story of the game first before actually powering up your items. Usually powering up your items is one of the last steps you should do.

How to automate the Item World using Autobattle for Farming

The best thing to do in the Item World is to use the autobattle to automate completing the levels and we’ll show you the steps we use to automate the process. You may want to turn off autobattle on floor 100 to steal the items from the Item God, but otherwise you can just keep autobattling and killing all enemies on the map. Killing enemies leads to increasing the strength of your item.

To do this, it’s best to use the Mecha Girl class, so see our guide on how to unlock that character class, you can unlock it pretty early on as soon as you unlock the Quest Shop in Episode 2.

You’ll also need to grind levels and mana on her, you’ll want to be as powerful compared to the enemies in the item as possible. The best way is to autobattle to rank up her class, autobattle easy stages on 20 Star difficulty using the Cheat Shop, and grind for money (HL) and extracts, and use the Juice Bar to increase her stats further.

We want to make use of her “Full Strike” special skill, so increasing her Attack and Speed stats is important since that skill relies on ATK/SPD, and you need to increase her max SP stat.

Our method makes use of Full Strike because it’s a large AOE attack that kills most of the enemies quickly and easily.

Although the move uses SP we will get evilities to make her restore the same amount of SP each time she uses it, so you basically have perpetual SP to consume.

You’ll want to increase her movement to make things faster so equip her with good shoes and a good weapon. Level her up to increase her maximum Karma limit in the D-merits menu, and use the Juice Bar 255 times to get a free 16.5 million Karma, then buy more movement and more Damage Up abilities when you Super Reincarnate.

You’ll need to use the following evilities on her shown below, to get them see our guide on unlocking all evilities. To get more evility slots, you need to master all classes by using them OR by using the Juice Bar to exchange HL currency for class mastery experience, then go into the D-merits menu and get evility slots as rewards.

The Setup to Farm in the Item World

Teleport is very handy because it lets you pass through any obstruction in your movement range. So use this with 3 shoes equipped and the Movement Up abilities from Super Reincarnation and she’ll have a lot of range.

Magic Collection lets you restore SP from your skill usage, 5% of damage dealt is restore. Mana Charge lets you restore 3% of your SP per unit targeted.

Magic Bias lets you decrease HP by 50% to increase SP by 100%.

Mana Scarcity lets you decrease Mana gained to 30% to increase attack power by 50%.

When these Evilities work together, you can pretty much restore your SP each time you use Full Strike!

While in the Status menu, turn OFF other skills she has except Full Strike! Otherwise she will use her other skills which is not needed.

Also, set autobattle OFF for all other characters in the main menu in your home base, otherwise other characters are going to join you in autobattle.

Also, when you are grinding with her, you should get her to have as much SP as possible.

Then, you can level up her ability in the Skill Shop, but only do so to a certain extent. You need to go to an easy map to test out your character, use the skill on only one enemy and see if it restores all your SP, if it doesn’t reduce the strength of the skill in the Skill Shop, and if it does, keep increasing the strength of the skill bit by bit. Also use the Skill Shop to increase the proficiency of the skill to reduce its SP cost.

Demonic Intelligence Set-up for Item World Grinding

We just need to add the finishing touches to this setup. You have a Mecha Girl who has essentially infinite SP, can move anywhere and through obstructions, etc.

What if you wanted to prioritize killing Innocents? Or what if you wanted to prioritize Mystery Room Gates or Skip Gates over killing all enemies?

We use the following Demonic Intelligence setup, each line-break here represents a row in the demonic intelligence screen, feel free to change or send us suggestions. Remember that you can cycle through different yellow texts using the up/down controls to get more options.

If an innocent is present → Innocents → Move to the farthest valid attack range → Use Full Strike

If a Chest is present → Chest → Move to the farthest valid attack range → Use Full Strike

If a Mystery Room Gate is present → Mystery Room Gate → Move toward target

If a Skip Gate is present → Skip Gate → Move toward target

Enemy forces → Move to the farthest valid attack range → Use Full Strike

When you’re done, you’ll have a mecha girl that can move anywhere, kill all enemies easily, and get through the Item World no problem!

Keep a second screen with your eyes on it while item world grinding

If you’re on floors 100, 200, etc, turn autobattle off and bring out your thief to steal useful items! Keep an eye out while autobattling, and if you want to go to Secret Warps or anything else, turn off autobattle or set up your Demonic Intelligence differently.

You may need player input during the Mystery Rooms. If you don’t want to keep your eye on it and don’t care about Mystery Rooms, remove the Mystery Gate option from the Demonic Intelligence above.

You can also delete the “Skip Gate” option if you’d rather kill all enemies on all floors and not skip floors. Your item levels up from clearing floors, not necessarily skipping gates.

Also, look out for Dark Assembly bills, there are some in the game that lets you unlock even faster gameplay options, allowing you turbo through the gameplay at an even faster rate.

How to increase your item’s stats quickly

If you want to quickly increase your item’s stats, it’s worth it to increase the enemy difficulty as high as you are able to. Unlike the older Disgaea games, you need to clear floors in order to “level up” your item and increase its stats, and using skip gates won’t help you in that case.

You can increase your item’s rarity in a few ways, but the most likely way of increasing its rarity is through killing the bosses such as Item Generals and Item Gods 1 & 2.
