Sword of Convallaria – Spirals of Destinies All Routes & Endings Guide
We’ll tell you how to get all 10 endings in Sword of Convallaria’s Spirals of Destinies mode. It will be as spoiler-free as possible, but we’ll have to mention character names sometimes. I’ll keep it as vague as possible.
To access the Spirals of Destinies’ route map go to Voyage → Spirals of Destinies → Voyage Map. You can see where you are in the game and if you’re on the correct route. If you’re playing the Spirals of Destinies mode and need to get out to check what route you’re on, click the top-right corner to exit and then you can access the Voyage Map again.
Some endings are much easier to get if you use a certain Beacon when starting a new playthrough but it’s not always necessary. I’ll let you know when they are helpful for a tough ending to get. If you got a bad ending by mistake, not all is lost, you can just use a beacon and it may help you get the ending you want more easily. We have tips on how to do a fast run of Spirals of Destinies so you can explore all the routes and endings quickly.
When playing the game, make sure to eliminate the Darklight when possible, certain missions will be marked “this affects the story” even if they’re optional missions (they’ll also be on top of the optional mission list and have a red exclamation mark). Do these or you may get a bad ending after chapter 2 (the upper route).
If you’d rather just watch the routes and endings instead, I have a YouTube playlist walkthrough as well: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-Hm3rGMVE2u4cGBDbSJlNDMPKvKkg6sl
Spirals of Destinies Voyage Map Completed (All Routes & Endings)
“Beginning of Destiny” Bad Ending
This is the top-left corner route that is the 1st bad ending. It’s automatic in the first hour of gameplay. Just progress the story, and when you leave the prison you’ll get this bad ending. You’ll then have to do the gacha game mode for a bit, but keep going through it and eventually you can go back to the Spirals of Destinies mode.
How the 3 Faction main route splits work (From Chapters 1-2)
The routes split significantly from Chapter 3 onwards. The three main route splits are for each faction including: The Union of Knights, the King’s Army, and the Papal States (church).
Chapters 1-2 is easy – do optional side quests and read their descriptions to see which faction’s reputation they will increase. Simply do the missions that increase the faction’s reputation for the route you want to go to.
In the ending of Chapter 2 or beginning of Chapter 3 you’ll be asked who to ask help from in a mission, simply choose who you want to go with and you’ll go onto their route if you increased that faction’s reputation enough.
Union Route – Prince Lutfi Ending 1
You need to get help from the Union in Chapter 2 to unlock the upper Chapter 3 routes. Keep progressing and doing missions for the Union. Make sure to eliminate the Darklight when possible too, they’re optional missions but labelled that “they will affect the story”.
Keep progressing the game past Chapter 3, and simply keep agreeing to the Prince (don’t ever choose Gloria) and keep doing his missions. You’ll end up progressing to the uppermost Chapter 7’s.
In the very last scene of the route, you’ll be with the Prince on the Hotel Roof. Accept and agree with him and you’ll get the upper-most branch of the route.
Union Route – Prince Lutfi Ending 2
Same as Prince Ending 1 above, but in the very last scene with the Prince on the Hotel Roof you now need to disagree with him. You’ll need to do this many times, keep refusing and rejecting him. This will be the lower branch of the route.
The reward for this route is the Elegy of Knights Beacon, which lets you get on the Gloria route easily, so if you want to go to Gloria’s route next try getting this Prince ending instead of the other one (the other one just gives you a beacon that lets you get on the union route more easily, which is not useful since it’s easy enough to do).
The two Prince routes are the same, it’s only the final cutscene that changes. I would recommend getting this ending (Prince Ending 2) so that you don’t have to go through the entire game again since this gives the Elegy of Knights Beacon.
Union Route – Gloria Ending
*The game might lock you to the Prince Lutfi endings on your first playthrough. Try following the steps below to get to Gloria’s ending, but if you’re not able to then use the item you get from completing those routes.
This can be tricky to unlock on a fresh playthrough and you might end up getting the Prince routes instead. If you use the Elegy of Knights Beacon from Prince Ending 2 you can get to Gloria’s route and ending very easily. To unlock the Elegy of Knights Beacon you need to get Prince Ending 2 (disagree with the Prince at last minute) shown above.
You need to make an alliance with the Union in Chapter 2. You’ll go Chapter 3 on the Union Route. Keep choosing Gloria instead of the Prince and agree with everything Gloria says. You’ll go to the lower Chapter 6 on the route map if you unlocked this route. After this there are no more route splits.
King’s Army – Dantalion (Don’t Escape) Ending
Go onto the King’s Army route in Chapter 3 by increasing their faction reputation and choosing them. The Dantalion Endings are easy to obtain. Just agree with all of his decisions to be safe (don’t arm the miners, don’t save Lutfi, completely destroy the Union, don’t buy the slaves).
At the very ending you’ll be prompted whether to Escape or Not Escape, choose to NOT Escape and you’ll get this ending.
King’s Army – Dantalion (Escape) Ending
Go onto the King’s Army route in Chapter 3 by increasing their faction reputation and choosing them. The Dantalion Endings are easy to obtain. Just agree with all of his decisions to be safe (don’t arm the miners, don’t save Lutfi, completely destroy the Union, don’t buy the slaves).
At the very ending you’ll be prompted whether to Escape or Not Escape, choose to Escape and you’ll get this ending.
King’s Army – Inanna Good Ending
You need to get one of Dantalion’s Bad Endings above before you can get this ending! You get “Beacons” for completing a run of the story, and when you begin a new cycle or game you can select these Beacons to help you get onto certain routes more easily.
You have to use a Beacon for starting this playthrough – “Emblem of the Hanged Men” (Trust of Dantalion), you get it from completing the Dantalion (Escape) Ending shown above. This is necessary to getting this ending!
This is the hard ending to get! While doing your playthrough, you need to prepare to save up 30,000 Gold by Week 49 for a purchase needed for the good ending, get more gold to be safe it’s a requirement! Have extra gold on hand in case of emergencies.
Dantalion might also ask for 15,000 Gold as well if you keep disobeying his orders (that means you’ll need 45,000 gold in total). There’s an easy solution to avoid this. I believe that if you start a cycle with the Emblem of the Hanged Men Beacon he never asks for money.
Go to the King’s Army route in Chapter 3 by increasing their faction reputation, choosing them, and continue progressing the story (if you use Emblem of the Hanged Men you’ll automatically start on the King’s Army route).
Check the Optional Quest list every week, if there’s a mission on top with a red exclamation mark related to defeating the Darklight make sure to do it (it’ll say “Failing to complete it on time may have negative consequences. Please consider carefully.”) To be safe, if you’re asked to give money to townsfolk between weeks just do it (like if there’s a drought just pay 500 gold, in general choose the nice options).
As you progress the story, you’ll need to carefully need to make a series of story decisions on the King’s Army Route. There’s one battle where your performance may affect the ending too. Even the slightest deviation can cause you to go onto the bad Dantalion routes instead.
In order to get Inanna’s Good Ending, make these decisions on your playthrough (in order):
- Throughout the playthrough make sure you save up 30,000 gold in advance for Week 49 (sometimes Dantalion asks for another 15,000 too, but if you use the Beacon “Emblem of the Hanged Men” this 15,000 fee won’t happen)
- Give weapons to the mining city (“I agree. Let’s assist the people of Mine Pit.”)
- On Week 39, there’s a mandatory mission Behind Enemy Lines where you need to plant 3 bombs in 3 locations. I recommend you do this mission in as few turns as possible as it will affect the next mission outcome! Use strong units with high movement, a high movement unit can just jump right onto the eastern blue tile (you don’t need to go all the way around). I don’t know the exact threshold of how many turns do to it, but I think you should do it within 5-6 turns or so. If you’re taking 10-11 turns you’ve definitely taken too long and will get a BAD outcome.
- On Week 39 after the above mission, in the next mission Return to the Front Line, LillyWill should be alive, she will talk to you and then die and disappear, and the map should be in an orange sunset. While completing the mission, make sure the werewolves survive the battle to be safe.
- If instead LillyWill is already dead (she has no dialog, her dead body is always on the map, and it lets you examine her body on a square) and the map is nighttime (it looks dark), you took too long in the previous mission, meaning your allies were all wiped out, and you might not get Queen Inanna’s good ending. If you see this though it’s too late, you can’t rewind to fix the previous mission’s outcome because you can’t save/reload in this game. You can try going to the ending to see what happens, if you meet all the other criteria it might still work out.
- Choose to help rescue Prince Lutfi (“The Sword of Convallaria can take care of it.”)
- When you fight the Union choose the option to try to win over knights to your side (“Disobey the order and win over some of the knights.”)
- When you repossess houses give the house to the wife and child (“Leave them some property.”)
- When bribed DO NOT accept the bribe (“Reject his proposals and investigate his properties.”)
- Finally pay the merchant 30k gold to free the slaves (“I have the money ready…”)
The endgame speech will work out for Inanna. If her speech doesn’t work out it means you’re on the Dantalion route instead. Not all is lost, you should still complete the route and you get a beacon that can help you get the good ending next playthrough.
Papal States (Church) – Good Ending
*The game might force you to do the bad Church ending before being able to do the good ending! If this happens to you use the Beacon you get from the bad ending to do a new playthrough.
Go onto the Papal States (Church) route in Chapter 3 by increasing their faction reputation and choosing them. Keep progressing the route.
Near the endgame chapters you’ll be told to do bad things in the name of the church – in a church with Samantha tell her “We can’t go on like this”. This leads you to the Good Church Ending!
Papal States (Church) – Bad Ending
Go onto the Papal States (Church) route in Chapter 3 by increasing their faction reputation and choosing them. Keep progressing the route.
Near the endgame chapters you’ll be told to do bad things in the name of the church. Keep agreeing with anything Samantha tells you, no matter how bad it is and you’ll get this ending.
For instance, tell Samantha “…With what’s happened, all I can do is comfort Samantha,” and it leads to the Bad Church Ending.
Darklight Bad Ending
Don’t do the “eliminate Darklight” missions. Also don’t get your reputation high with any factions. It’s very easy to get if you just keep skipping everything and only doing the mandatory missions and this is pretty much just an early bad ending.
