How to unlock more evility slots (more max evility cost)
Evilities are traits you can equip to a character. Some are unique, whereas others are common and can be passed between characters.
You only start off with a small number of evility slots for your characters in the beginning, but there are ways to get more quickly. In-game it is referred to as the character’s Max Evility Cost.
The key to getting more evility slots is to get them as D-merit rewards for mastering classes (see images below). To master classes on each character, you’ll of course need to unlock those classes first.
To unlock all classes in the game please see our step-by-step guide, but in general it requires completing quests from the Quest Shop and also progressing the story.
After unlocking the classes, you need to master them. You can set subclasses in the Status menu for that character OR if it’s a generic character you can Super Reincarnate them into the class you want to master.
Another method for class mastery is to use the Juice Bar, cycle to the tab related to Class Mastery and spend HL currency to master the classes you’ve unlocked.
To do this you’ll need to farm for HL currency, later stages in the game will give you magnitudes more HL, you can also sell treasures and equipment you get too, and you can increase the proportion of HL acquired using the Cheat Shop.
After mastering classes, collect your evility slot rewards in the D-merit section of your Character Status as shown in the image below.
Now you’ll be able to equip more evilities to your characters! You’ll need to repeat this process for each character you want to increase evility slots for.
You can also increase the number of unique evility slots, but you will need to be in the post-game after completing the game (after Act 2 Episode 5). There will be bills in the Dark Assembly for all your characters called Equip Unique Evility, pass these to increase your unique evility slots. You can then equip the unique evilities for the classes that character mastered.
