All Gold Beetle Locations in Metaphor ReFantazio (DEMO only)
I’ll explain the dates and locations of all gold beetles. In order to unlock the All That Glitters trophy you need to make all gold beetle exchanges. This is for the demo of the game.
Note that some gold beetles appear to be missable, we’ll let you know which ones and we’ll list them in the order you can obtain them. All beetles are technically missable but some are extremely missable. Try to grab them as soon as you’re able to.
1 – Army Recruitment Center
The first gold beetle is in the army recruitment center. You can grab this early on in the game when you first join the army, but it’s NOT missable (as long as you’re in Grad Trad). When you have free time on or after 6/12 you can still walk in and grab it. If you don’t see it make sure to check the other corridor – there’s 2 corridors in the recruitment center that look identical so walk around and you’ll find it.
2 – Northern Border Fort on 6/5 (MISSABLE)
After fighting the first boss and unlocking the Seeker class for the protagonist you’ll get cutscenes and end up in a bonfire area. There’s a gold beetle here!
I’m assuming this is a missable beetle as it doesn’t look like you can return here easily.
3 – Sunshade Row
In a corner, grab it easily when you have free time.
4 – Concoctions Shop
Go to the Concoctions Shop on Sunshade Row. You can’t grab the gold beetle behind the counter! Instead, just examine the gold bag to get a gold beetle.
5 – Belega Corridor
This is an optional dungeon! It’s on the second floor, see the map (there’s dotted lines), you need to crawl through a hole in the corridor to get around the locked gate.
To unlock it you need to get Wisdom Rank 2. You need a few free days to complete the process. In the afternoon talk to an NPC to get the request Help the Hushed Honeybee. If you’re going for all trophies and cooking all recipes, try to buy Redgrass from an NPC to be refused.
Then rest on the bench to get Wisdom points. In the evening inside the Inn you’ll find an Informant – buy the Secret of the Redgrass shop (you need to talk to the Redgrass NPC earlier or else he won’t sell it) and also buy other ingredients for the Redgrass Bidou. Then cook at the inn – make the Redgrass Bidou if you want to cook all recipes, but if you don’t care then cooking a normal generic dish works too. The dialog option does change the outcome so choose the correct dialog option to be safe, for cooking Redgrass Bidou you need to choose option 2 “Let’s stick to the recipe”.
Then the next morning return the request Help the Hushed Honeybee to get Wisdom Rank 2. Then talk to the NPC next to the Igniter shop (Brigitta in Sunlumeo Street) to unlock the request A Bullish Embargo as well as the Belega Corridor. In the dungeon it’s behind the locked gate, you need to just look for a tiny corridor hole to crawl through to get to it.
These are just gold beetles in the demo. The remaining gold beetles will be added after the game releases!
