Eliminate Hush and Imogen Royce Guide – End of An Era Chongqing Mission – Hitman 3

• There are three tasks in this mission – to eliminate Hush, eliminate Imogen Royce, and to Hack the Data Core. The last hacking mission can only be done after eliminating the two targets first, but the steps for eliminating Imogen Royce coincides with hacking the data core.

  • Impulse Control (Eliminates Hush)
  • Certainty Principle (Eliminates Imogen Royce)
  • All Seeing Eyes (Eliminates BOTH), but this has a strict time limit, if you do this then you’ll need to sneak into the secret underground base

Eliminate Hush (Impulse Control)

You need to first head to the rooftop. I ended up taking down everyone, but you can actually sneak around by climbing carefully around the building. Make your way to Hush’s lab. You can disguise yourself as a cleaner to get through the building more easily, and we used our silencer on the camera.

Once you get to Hush’s lab on the upper floors, you’ll see Hush. You can take him down normally, but you can actually take him down using his mind device, which I strongly recommend. To do this you need to disguise yourself as the test subject.

Go to the washroom in Hush’s lab and look for the “perfect candidate” whose wearing a hospital gown, knock him out and take his disguise. Then talk to Hush and his assistants. Go sit in the chair and do the experiments, and press the quick-time event when prompted. Hush’s lab assistant will tell him to stop doing the experiment, and everyone will scatter. If you wait for everyone to get together again, the exact same thing happens again, you sit down in the chair, and Hush will eventually stop again.

The key to this is to knock-out the lab assistant who keeps stopping the experiment, it’s the woman with the blue shirt under her labcoat, the one who was on the computer. So go through the experiment, wait for everyone to scatter, and knock out the lab assistant. There’s a locker conveniently close by.

Afterwards, everyone will group together again including Hush, and Sister Lei will do the experiment instead. So sit down in the chair, and this time Hush will go to far and die. The guard close by will investigate, and normally the test subject is not allowed to go out of the room.

We had the scrubs outfit in the washroom that we used, but you’re still not allowed to exit without a pat-down search, BUT, the guard moves when Hush dies, so in the confusion sneak out so that you can keep your weapons. Then make your way down the building using pipes, etc.

Eliminate Imogen Royce (Certainty Principle)

A screw driver is handy for this mission, but if you don’t have one in advance you can still find one inside the secret base you enter!

Go to the ground level of Chongqing and approach the Chinese dumpling restaurant. You’ll see a woman who wants to escort a man in a suit on a business tour, but he’s missing a document called the P41. 

You’ll now get the location of his apartment, but it’s locked behind a keypad door. There’s two ways to enter it. Use the code 0118 to immediately get inside, OR, go to the top of the building, then look for a pipe near the side to slide down to get to the window of his room as we do in our video.

Then you can go under his bed and get the P41. Return to the Chinese restaurant. You now need to disguise yourself as the businessman. We knocked-out the chefs and the businessman around, and there is a container to put 2 enemies off to the side. 

Once disguised as the businessman, go to the back of the restaurant to the woman who gives the tour, she will escort you to a secret area. You’ll eventually get prompted to be searched, so remove any illegal weapons and continue the tour.

Check your map, there’s an employee exit that doesn’t have a patdown search, if you want to, put your silencer into the bin and you can later disguise yourself as an employee to get it back. Keep an eye out for a screwdriver as well, you can take screwdrivers past the patdown so no worries. 

Halfway through the tour, you’ll get a warning that your cover will be blown in 60 seconds. There’s a table behind you with a Tier 2 Access Dongle you should pick up. Then, use your camera to shutter the window in front of you. Then you can use the laptop without getting caught and your ID will be safe. 

You’ll be taken to Imogen Royce, who will continue the tour. Keep going on the long tour, and eventually she will let you tour the facility with a guard escort. Find a screwdriver, then talk to the guard escort and tell him you want to continue the tour with Imogen Royce. 

Imogen Royce goes back into her office with you, and will show you a panel with her latest technology. You can fire all 3 employees. If you read your intel, it says one of the workers would turn off the failsafe security measure if they’re fired, but this is not actually true, Imogen will say “Don’t worry our guards will make sure that doesn’t happen”.

After firing them all, Imogen says she’s finished the tour and will leave. The issue is that there’s a guard outside who will escort you out of the building. Use your screwdriver to get into the vents, and you can explore around. You can kill Imogen in any way, but why not have some fun and kill her in the Data Core circular chamber?

With access to the vents, you can find lone workers or guards. I recommend disguising yourself as a guard, they come with a gun. Then, go back into the vents and to the circular chamber with the Data Core, wait for Imogen to leave if she’s there.

Then you’ll see the Safety Mechanism on the wall under a camera. If you used the employee exit trash can you can use your silencer to destroy the camera, but even a normal guard’s gun will work fine to shoot the camera. Then Disable the Safety Mechanism. 

Now go back to the next room over with the controls. Use your camera on the controls to shutter both of the windows so nobody sees, then wait a few minutes for Imogen Royce to enter the Data Core chamber, then incinerate her! 

Now go back into the Data Core chamber and use the panel to hack it. Sometimes Royce’s assistant will run in, knock her out and hack the Data Core. Then use the vents to escape the mission.

Eliminate BOTH (All Seeing Eyes)

Doing the “All Seeing Eyes” Mission Story will allow you to defeat both targets at once, but you will need to hack the data core yourself by doing to the underground base afterwards.

This mission is timed, so I recommend starting from a new mission when going for this mission story.

For this, go past the bridge and take the left up the stairs and go past the dumpling chef and into the laundromat. To get into the staircase of the laundromat you need to put in a number password, so put in 0118 to unlock the door.

Go up the stairs and to the roof, and knock out the sniper on the roof and take his sniper rifle. Use your scanner on the malfunctioning drone, then go underneath the sign.

You will now need to shoot down 5 flying drones. Zoom in on the sniper as much as possible and try hitting the drones when they’re at the end of their paths.

Afterwards you’ll get guards called on you, so climb down a gap on the roof and hang from the pipe. Wait a few minutes for the guards to enter then leave. 

Now return to under the sign and shoot 2 more flying drones, these ones are much easier.

Then, you’ll be able to snipe both Hush and Imogen Royce. I used the map marker to judge the direction, then zoom in, and if you want bonus points, use one bullet for the two of them!

Now you’ll need to hack the Data Core. Go to the above section “Certainty Principle”, the only difference is that you’re going into the underground base, but you won’t be on a guided-tour with Imogen of course. Find a screwdriver and get to the circular Data Core room to hack it, then get out of there. See the Certainty Principle for further detail.
