We have a list of all the earliest opportunities to buy gifts for your Dandelion crew. If you forgot to buy a gift and moved the story too far, try checking Shady Dealer Maxim’s shop for old gifts. You need to use these gifts on characters to raise their affection and get their character notes. Sometimes you’ll need to nudge the story a little to get the materials to trade for the gift.
Chapter 3: The Feral Hawk’s Fury
- You unlock Main Square
- You get a Gift Tutorial message when you visit Hale’s shop, buy the Straw Hat (Yufa Gift)
Chapter 4: The Doll’s Search
- Trade for the Floral Hat Pin (Krysha Gift) from Shady Dealer Maxim in Central District (we don’t have the materials in chapter 4, but you can get it when you can, the girl near the blacksmith downstairs in Dandelion can trade you materials and the lamp downstairs can let you trade for materials as well)
- Teleport to the Antique shop when you unlock it midway through Chapter 4, talk to Roderio (Rijndael Antiques) and buy gift Razor-Sharp Knife (Tito Gift)
Chapter 5: The Raging Bull’s Treasure
- Shady Dealer Maxim has a new gift, Trick Deck (Park Gift), but we didn’t have the materials to trade for it at the time (talk to girl by the blacksmith downstairs in Dandelion to trade for materials or examine the lamp downstairs to trade for materials)
- Unlock Entertainment District midway through the chapter – Talk Jessica (Jessica’s Brewery) and buy Coffee Beans gift (Silhouette Gift)
Chapter 6: The Renegade’s Secret
- Buy from Maxim’s Black Market – Stylish Glasses (Credo Gift) from him (examine the lamp in the basement of Dandelion to exchange twilight shards for materials if you don’t have them)
Chapter 7: Capriccio of the Prison
- Buy Minature Teacup gift (Anemona Gift) from Maxim’s Black Market, exchange for materials if you don’t have them
- Buy Rainbow Earrings gift (Chante Gift) from Pendleton Company in Central District
- Buy “The Five Dragons” gift (Jules Gift) from Edoudard’s Bookstore in Central District
- Buy Esterian Apple gift (Dogi Gift) from Paulette’s Produce in Main Square
- Buy Potent Ointment gift (Lucien Gift) from Lillet’s Gift Shop in Entertainment District
- Buy Vintage Wine (Margot Gift) from Nirvana (Benoit’s shop) in Shantytown
Chapter 8: Thus Spoke the Alchemist
- Go to Maxim’s shop, he has a new gift: Portrait of a Girl (Iris Gift), if you’re missing materials to trade for it use the lantern in Dandelion, or try Arche or Morbihan
- Go to Quarry Ruins, a treasure chest has Mandragora Root
- Teleport to Prison Entry Gate, talk to Saradhi below, give her Mandragora Root

- Buy Prime Smoked Meat gift (Maxim Gift) from Durfee’s Butchery in Main Square
