How to get unlimited MP in dungeons in Metaphor ReFantazio
In dungeons, MP is not restored when entering safe zones or talking to the cat. There’s a trick to regaining all your MP without the need of MP restoring consumables.
Simply switch the protagonist’s archetype to Mage (in the safe room or at a cat you can go to Akademia to talk to More to unlock it and once you unlock it you can simply go to Equipment while in the dungeon to switch to the Mage archetype).
After the protagonist is turned into the Mage archetype simply attack the on-screen enemies, preferably weak ones using Xbox controller X button or the Playstation square button. Every time you attack enemies you gain a small amount of MP.
Don’t do this to strong enemies – rather, do it to weak enemies that you can instantly defeat for an easier time. This is because the mage’s passive ability lets you restore MP when attacking enemies in dungeons.
There’s usually a number of weak enemies spread throughout the dungeons, usually it’s an enemy you encountered before (like how the teeth-type enemy quickly become weak enemies). In big dungeons you can warp between different safe areas, so you can try going to the beginning of a dungeon to find weak enemies.
Once you found and defeated weak enemies, go back to a safe area with a save point, save and reload to respawn all enemies and repeat.
You’ll only gain a small amount of MP (1-2 MP) per attack but it adds up and you can do this to replenish all of your MP.
See the below screenshots on how attacking weak enemies restores your MP. Notice how the characters’ MP all increase after launching an on-screen attack.
Doing this you can get unlimited MP and grind infinitely in the dungeons. This is useful for time management because you can easily grind and complete each dungeons in one day, freeing up your schedule to do social links or raising virtues. If you need more MP to fight the boss of a dungeon, use this method to quickly restore your characters’ MP.
Later in the game you can gain access to the Thief class which lets you use MP stealing skills.
