The Cruel King and Great Hero Announced to release March 1, 2022, Game Trailer out Now
NIS America has announced that The Cruel King and the Great Hero will come out on March 1, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 platforms.
The plot revolves around Yuu, who wants to become a great hero, but right now she starts off very small with makeshift armor and a stick sword. It’s a 2D scroller game with great sprites and very colourful artwork stylized as a storybook world that you flip through.
You are able to fight enemies as well as explore dangerous environments to find collectibles for the in-game gallery, character profiles, and behind-the-scenes illustrations.
Yuu has many friends such as Rocky, who can bury underground to find hidden items as well. The game also is full of NPCs with many sidequests you can do, and we can see that Yuu is becoming a hero by helping out residents with their problems such as a parent looking for their child.
Yuu also has a friend that’s a dragon, called the Dragon King. Although Yuu and the Dragon King are living peaceful right now, his backstory will be revealed and their lives will change dramatically. As the Dragon King cryptically says, “This is the story of how you will one day defeat me.”
