Mementos Palace and Qliphoth Guide
- The first step to get to Mementos Palace in the end-game of Persona 5 Royal is to go down Mementos itself. There are many blocks and you need to keep heading down further and further, there are many requests along the way.
- If you followed our perfect Schedule, you would’ve done many requests and you’d be most of the way down Mementos already. Remember that there is a mandatory boss fight when you first exit/enter a new block.
- When you head into Mementos Palace and the World of Qliphoth, you’re in the endgame of the original Persona 5. Persona 5 Royal will have a new month, January, which continues after the World of Qliphoth boss (the original game’s final boss) is defeated.
- This means that it isn’t your last chance to go into Mementos, so if you still can’t beat the reaper for the killing the reaper trophy, you can wait until January to do so. The flu trick for beating the reaper has, unfortunately, been removed from the game; however, we have published a video guide on how to beat the reaper easily using a showtime trick.
- Since Mementos is randomly generated, you really just need to go down all of the blocks, just use the Morgana van and hold down R2, follow one of the walls until you find the stairs downwards.
- For Mementos Depths Palace itself, it’s not too difficult. This “palace” has no will seeds, so don’t panic if you’ve gone through most of it and haven’t found any!
- The only puzzles are puzzles where you have block steps, and you need light them all to be blue. If you step on a block multiple times it would change from blue to yellow, back and forth. If you can’t solve one of those puzzles, you may need to defeat a miniboss elsewhere, then use the key you get to unlock another block. Complete videos of Mementos Palace walkthroughs are provided below.
- After completing Mementos Depths Palace, your party will be disbanded temporarily and you will need to find and talk to each party member again. Afterwards, it’s another dungeon you must complete: The World of Qliphoth.
- There are minibosses at the end of each section, then the original final boss. The minibosses are archangels, it’s a nice homage to the original SMT where you fought them as minibosses.
- The path through Qliphoth is straightforward, talk to Lavenza and she can heal your party, so you can grind if you need to.
- Now is also a good time to get the Crystal Skull, a treasure demon that’s sometimes tricky to get. Get it before you defeat the final boss, or you can try to get it in Mementos in January. You can use the item Treasure Trap and the Crystal Skull may appear alongside enemies, or you can keep getting attacked and raise the alarm to 80-100%, and sometimes it may spawn as a reinforcement (but reinforcements won’t come if you do an all-out-attack).
- For the original final boss, destroy the extra arms and use any items if necessary. If you let the extra arms pile up you will get many status ailments, be careful!
- Once done, Persona 5 Royal continues into January and goes into new content territory.
