Kaneshiro’s Palace Guide with Will Seed Locations
- The first forced trip to Kaneshiro’s Palace is on-rails, you are forced to meet Kaneshiro, and you recruit Makoto, who specializes in nuclear skills.
- There are opportunities to spend tens of thousands of yen to open a door, decline when this happens and just look around for other doors or vents. You never need to spend money to get through the dungeon and it’s just the palace ruler trying to scam you out of money.
- Always use L2 to look around, you can find a tiny vent hidden in a corner. Also use L2 to look for grappling points, stand on the grappling point and look around while mashing L1 to use the grappling hook.
- There are many points later in the dungeon where you need to enter codes, you don’t actually have to find the hints in the dungeon!
- You can just watch our video, the codes will always be the same from one player to another player, and this game doesn’t force you to read the hints to enter the password unlike old SMT games (the characters will even joke about it if you find the hints after entering the password correctly, Yusuke said, “Guess we don’t need this hint anymore. Wait, how did you even get the correct answer?”)
- Kaneshiro’s boss fight is not too difficult either. When he starts spinning in his piggy-bank, guard, or tank through it if you don’t mind taking the damage.
- Buffing your allies with tarukaja and debuffing him with rakunda will multiply your damage significantly.
- You’ll be given the option to throw away an item to him. If you want it to work, throw away a semi-valuable item from the list of items, usually I throw away a soma and he gets desperate to take it.
- Near the end of the fight, he will get two bodyguards, one of which will always take the hit if you try to aim an attack at Kaneshiro. You can defeat the bodyguards, but if you raise your defense and wait a few turns, eventually Kaneshiro will run out of money, and the bodyguards will leave.
