In the beginning you have three tasks: Eliminate Don Archibald Yates, Eliminate Tamar Vidal, and DON’T Eliminate Diana Burnwood.
There are different Mission Stories you can use:
- The Tour, which leads to Closing Statement (Eliminates Don Archibald Yates AND Tamar Vidal) (I recommend doing these together on a playthrough)
- Eyes on Target (Eliminates Tamar Vidal)
- Over The Top (Eliminates Don Archibald Yates)
Eliminating Archibald Yates and Tamar Vidal (The Tour Mission Story, then Closing Statement Mission Story)
When you begin, you need to talk to Diana Burnwood. Then, get closer to the main event. There’s a lawyer who is on the phone just to the left, you can follow him near a tree, and push him when the guards aren’t looking to take his disguise and briefcase, where you can smuggle in your silencer.
You need to get into the building and follow Corvo Black. He’s on the phone, walking around the gardens, he’ll eventually get away from the crowd. Use this opportunity to knock him out and take his disguise.
Then, go down to the lower area to go for the tour. But unfortunately, the tour guide is not here. You’ll be prompted to go into the vineyard to find him, but you’ll have to sneak in.
In the vineyard, you’ll find the tour guide arguing with the winery workers. You’ll get a marker with the winery worker, so wait for him to be alone and knock him out to steal his disguise. There weren’t any convenient hiding spots so we dumped his body into the river, but be sure to take his disguise first.
Then, you’ll need to get the grapepicking knife. There are guards on both sides, but you can crouch and stealth around them. You’ll need to grab three ripe Malbec grapes, to find these just look on the bushes and look for distinct purple grapes. When you found them, return to the tour guide to give them to him. Then, grab your Corvo Black disguise (your disguises are marked on the map, but you’ll be given a mission marker to it as well). Return to the tour guide.
Now you’ll be able to go on the winery tour! You will be prompted by the tour guide to ask questions, choose to ask, and the group will follow you. You can go to four markers with different machines, but before doing so, go around the area to look for tools if you’re interested. There’s a key for the machine, a screwdriver someone stuck into a barrel, etc, you’ll need these if you want to assassinate Tamar Vidal in the winery.
We chose NOT to assassinate Tamar Vidal in the winery plant. But if you want to, you’ll need to wait for Diana Burnwood to exit the machine, usually Tamar Vidal will stay in the machine, the freezer, etc for a few extra seconds if you want to kill her this way. Otherwise, go to all four markers and don’t kill Vidal and you’ll finally go to the barrel room, the last destination of the winery tour. I don’t think you’ll get to the next Mission Story if Vidal is dead.
In the barrel room, you’ll be greeted by Don Archibald Yates, and he, Diana, and Tamar will go with him upstairs. You’ll get a new main story mission…
Eliminating Archibald Yates and Tamar Vidal (Closing Statement Mission Story)
You’ll see the guard talk to the sommelier on the right. You want to disguise yourself as the sommelier, but the doors are locked. To unlock them, you need to go to the left-hand side and sneak around upstairs. There’s a washroom with a guard, and you can take his disguise and key card for an easier time. Then go down the hallway and examine the monitor, you can disable the security doors from here.
A timer will activate, but if you’re in the guard uniform you can easily just run down the stairs and go to the security doors. There’s a camera overlooking the security cameras, but you can easily crouch around them. You can knock out or assassinate the two workers inside, and take the uniform of the sommelier, and also take the special wine by entering 1945 in the security code panel.
Then, exit the security doors, and get rid of any illegal weapons because you will be pat-down searched. Then go into the meeting with everyone, and present the wine if you want, and watch the events. I had poison with me, BUT, there’s too many guards, you can’t do anything without getting caught!
So just let the events play out. Archibald Yates will have his guards kill Tamar Vidal, and also punch Diana Burnwood. Diana will be taken away and a timer is activated. Go to the back door and sneak into the building with Diana, steal a guard’s uniform to make it easier.
In the building, go upstairs, and you are forced to eliminate all the guards nearby. Do so and hide the bodies, there is a chest and wardrobe, then talk to Diana and sit in the chair while wearing the guard uniform. Archibald will come with more guards, but again, make sure you hide the bodies otherwise the mission will blown.
When Archibald comes in with two guards, Diana will get angry and shoot him, doing your job for you. You will get a prompt to shoot the winch to kill one of the guards, do so, then quickly melee the other guard. Then, hide the body of Archibald, grab a suit from the coat hanger nearby, and get out!
For us, we escaped from the balcony. Most of the ways are blocked with guards, so we went to the cliffside area and got lower from there until you are out of the trespassing zone. Then, you can go to the main building for the party and you’ll find Diana on the dancefloor, you can exit the mission by doing the tango with her.
Eliminating Tamar Vidal (Eyes On Target Mission Story)
Immediately go to the left of the starting area after talking to Diane, and get a guard disguise. There are many bushes around to hide unconscious bodies. Get to the top of the rig and eavesdrop on the snipers’ conversation.
Return below to get the Spotter’s Earpiece item, then scan the bottle, and when prompted press the “Y” button to command the snipers to shoot. Neat!
Scan Tamara and command the snipers, but they will say that the target is blocked. Diane is at the bar nearby, talk to her to get her to take a smoke break with Tamar. 3 guards will follow them.
The 3 guards are easy to deal with, you can push them off the ledges or knock them out and drag them into the bushes. After, interact with Tamara to get the snipers to kill her.
Eliminating Don Archibald Yates (Over The Top Mission Story)
Go through the main building to get into the winery production facility. Follow the senior worker as prompted and watch his conversations.
You need to disguise yourself as a worker. Find any isolated worker, take their disguise, and hide their body in a recycling bin.
You then need to sabotage the production. You’ll need a screwdriver and wrench.
The wrench is in a corner of one of the rooms next to a computer.
The screwdriver is stuck in a barrel where all the barrels are, a forklift is close by.
With the tools on hand, district the nearby worker with a coin, then use the screwdriver to expose the wire and use a wrench to sabotage the wine pump.
Archibald will come in and complain, then he will leave. You can follow him, he will return to his house and room. There will be guards, so you can take them down, disguise yourself, and get into his house.
You can then assassinate him. An easy way to exit is by grabbing his car keys next to his bed, then you can use his car to leave.
