Farworld Pioneers, A Survival Sim in Space, Releases August 15 for PS4|5
Farworld Pioneers, an open-world sci-fi sandbox developed by Igloosoft (known for Rimworld and Starbound), and published by tinyBuild, is releases for the PlayStation 4 & 5 on Tuesday, August 15 2023.
In this game, players survive an emergency landing on an unfamiliar planet and must construct a space station. Gameplay involves farming, exploration of a hazardous open world teeming with alien creatures, and obtaining spaceship blueprints.
The game offers the option of solo play or multiplayer, accommodating up to 32 players per server. Together, players can navigate the vast galaxy or engage in faction-based battles using lethal weaponry.
Starting with limited resources, players must build a shelter and endure the initial night, eventually evolving into a thriving colony by recruiting other survivors and assigning them tasks. The world has many dangers, including enemy raiders who also want the planet’s valuable resources. Combat against them involves retro side-scrolling action gameplay with the intriguing twist of physics influencing various elements. The unique physics system adds realism, affecting character movements, bullet trajectories, and even grenade bounces.
As players progress, they can explore diverse alien biomes and delve into the planet’s depths to unlock knowledge and materials necessary for crafting advanced weaponry like miniguns and laser-based tools. Exploration and conquest of the planet lead to the discovery of spaceship blueprints, granting players the ability to expand their colony beyond the stars. New biomes on other planets offer fresh challenges and adventures to explore.
Farworld Pioneers is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4 & 5 on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, priced at USD $14.99. The game is already available on PC and Xbox platforms and supports a wide range of languages, including English, Portuguese (Brazil), French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
